Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful time in Syracuse for Thanksgiving. That is until Eva got a temperature of 104 F last Monday. After a couple of phone calls to the doctor and a trip to urgent care, we discovered she had a virus (likely roseola due to the rash she developed when we got home). Anyway, Eva's fever was brought down by Tylenol and Motrin and she's totally better now (except for a stuffy nose) Through the whole thing, Eva was quite the trooper and her parents are now relieved. Here are few photos of our trip.

First Steps!

Just as Eva is turning 10 months old, she is finally taking her very first steps unaided! Sure she's been walking around for the past month by holding onto the coffee table or people, but tonight was exciting because she stood up and just started walking all by herself!

Vacation to Cabo Pulmo, Mexico

We had a wonderful week in Cabo Pulmo, Baja, Mexico this past week. Cabo Pulmo is a sleepy vacation village about 1.5 hours north of Cabo San Lucas on the gulf side. Cabo Pulmo is known for its snorkeling and diving as well as it's really nice beaches. In fact, it has the only coral reef in Western North America. We had lots of time to swim, snorkel, lay on the beach, take naps, and read. No fancy restaurantns, golf courses, or resorts. Just a handful of tourists, americanos who spend their winters here, and of course native residents. We wish we could spend lots more time there! Rea and Eva on the Beach.

Almost 9 months old!

Eva is almost 9 months old now and is into everything! She's an active crawler, will pull herself up on anything she can, and just learned to climb up stairs. She is not walking yet, but she probably will very soon.

Eva also babbles a lot, but can't seem to say ma-ma...all she says is da-da. When I ask her to say ma-ma, she is very particular about saying da-da! Maybe that's the price i pay for letting Jeff take care of her most days while I'm at work!

Eva emptied out her toy basket and now appears to be stuck.

Her changing table is lots of fun. So many wipes and diapers to pull off! Now she won't even stay still when we change her diaper.
