Easter, Utah, and Still Waiting for Spring

Here are a few photos from the last month. We went to Utah for Mom's birthday, had a cold snowy Easter here, and even though it's end of April we're still getting snow up here in Rollinsville. Boulder on the other hand, is quite beautiful and the tree leaves are starting to come out down there. I have big plans to put in a greenhouse this year. I spent most of Saturday bucking up a bunch of firewood that was sitting where I want to put the greenhouse. But we still have a few trees to take down. Maybe I'll be able to grow some tomoates this year, but who knows? So much to do, so little time!

Can't Wait for Spring

This is always the hardest time to live in the mountains. At least for the next 2 months. It'll be snowy and muddy up here and beautiful springtime in Boulder. We still have several feet of snow in the backyard, and the crocuses are in bloom at the office in Boulder. At least the days are getting longer.

Eva's been doing well, she's quite the active little toddler. We're stilling waiting for a "real" word, but her cognitive abilities are good and she understands a lot.

Christmas

We all had a fabulous Christmas here at our home at 8,600 ft in Colorado! Our first time hosting Christmas included many guests: my mom, Carolyn, my brother and his girlfriend (Mike and Shea), my Aunt Marsha and Rich, and my cousin and her family (Gina, Pete and 6 month old Livia).

We even cut down our own beautiful Christmas Tree (a subalpine fir) from our "yard".

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful time in Syracuse for Thanksgiving. That is until Eva got a temperature of 104 F last Monday. After a couple of phone calls to the doctor and a trip to urgent care, we discovered she had a virus (likely roseola due to the rash she developed when we got home). Anyway, Eva's fever was brought down by Tylenol and Motrin and she's totally better now (except for a stuffy nose) Through the whole thing, Eva was quite the trooper and her parents are now relieved. Here are few photos of our trip.
