This week Gina, my first cousin, and her boyfriend Pete came for a visit.
Here they are hiking near our house. 
I also found a rather large mushroom, growing on the roots of a dead tree nearby. This is Neolentinus ponderosus in the Polyporaceae. It is apparently edible when young, but we didn't try it.
Gina and Pete also treated us to a show at Redrocks. We saw Jethro Tull, who is having their 40th year anniversary this year.

We had a small storm while we were there, but then we got a nice view of the rainbow over Denver and our own "natural" ligtning light show.
